In an exclusive Glen Abbey suburb, custom-designed iron gates invite you to a tranquil garden oasis. Great Ponds & Gardens’ design includes a wraparound stone terrace, encompassing several private sitting and entertaining areas, a multipurpose cedar cabana, and a hand-chiselled waterfall feature. Plantings were intentionally modest, leveraging the beautiful ravine backdrop and incorporating mature foliage with changing seasonal colours. An automated lighting system illuminates the peaceful setting long into the night.

Stone, water and fire come together to form this amazing garden. Working closely with the client, GPG created an invigorating landscape where custom woodwork embraces rock and greenery to form a truly unique outdoor space. The silhouette is so unique that time seems to stand still against the artfully-placed stone monuments. Landscape materials include ebel™ black natural stone, armor stone, and concrete. Handsome teak furniture and a five-sided cedar cabana provide an intriguing setting for outdoor entertainment. Stonehenge also incorporates an outdoor TV, stereo, and gaming system to complement this contrasting theme.

Meticulously designed, yet conservative in colours and material, this landscape is defined by its restorative setting. Although the space is small, we utilized every inch of useable space to maximize its enlightening properties, making it ideal for relaxation and meditation. The koi pond offers a reflective ambiance enhanced by LED lighting and green materials, such as local rocks, bamboo, and grasses.

An extension of the home, this great garden is a place for family to relax, play and socialize. Carefully considering the family’s needs and limited budget, GPG’s design included several functional areas: a large concrete patio, expansive grass areas, privacy gardens incorporating large stones for grading and a customized utility shed. A thoughtful mix of textures and finishes create distinct outdoor living and dining areas. Automated irrigation, lighting system and full service maintenance package maximize the family’s enjoyment.
